Call back the crowd, telling them: "Hear all, and understand there is nothing outside a man which going into him can defile; are the things which come out to the contamination."
When he entered a house away from the crowds, the disciples asked him the parable. He said to them: 'Are you also so devoid of intellect? Do not you understand that everything that goes into a man from outside can not defile him, because he did not enter the heart but the stomach and goes into the sewer? ". Thus he declared all foods clean.
Then he added: "What comes out, this defiles the man. For from within, from men's hearts, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man. "
